Communications is a challenge for cruisers.
We have recently added the Garmin in reach satellite tracker. With this device we can share our tracks real time with our friends and family. We can text to our point of contact when we depart and arrive, and we have instant SOS connection anywhere in the world with this device.
I think it is a fun device, but obviously adds another layer of safety for our voyages.
